The priests under the Law of Moses, ate the sacrifices, but that does not qualify them to enjoy the altar that Christians have under Christ,

We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat (Hebrews 13.10). 

The writer did not intend for us to become arrogant, but to show that going back to Judaism or any other form of religion, cuts a person off from the blessings of Christ, especially those things He made available through His sacrifice.
