08.10.2016 – New Testament: Rom 10.8–10
To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 10 on August 10, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
How close is the word of God to you? Does it rule your heart so that it comes out of your mouth?
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10.8–10).
Do you believe that Jesus is Lord? Does that belief lead you to confess it with your mouth? You see, if the word of God is in your heart and if it is in your mouth, you will believe that Jesus is Lord and you will say it, because the word of God affirms those truths about Jesus.
- What do you believe about the word of God?
- Do thoughts from the word of God enter your mind when you hear people speak and when you witness the events of the day?
