To read the Bible in a year, read Revelation 14 on December 23, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
You probably have images of heaven in your mind, but what about the sounds of heaven? You can get an idea of the sounds by reading this,
And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth (Revelation 14.2–3).
What does many waters sound like? What does thunder sound like? Then imagine hearing the sounds of harps and finally a large crowd standing before the throne of God and they sing to Him. To get an idea of what the singing is like, picture yourself standing before the throne of God along with countless other people, and you are all singing with your total hearts.
- Do you look forward to the singing in heaven?
- Do you sing now?
