Hezekiah was seriously ill, even to the point of death, and then Isaiah told him that he would die. However, watch what the king did:

Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD, and said, “Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

– Isaiah 38.2–3

He did not pray long, but it was sincere and he spoke openly to the God of heaven. Evidently those few words meant much to God because He granted another 15 years of life to the king.

Questions:

• Do prayers have to be long to be spiritual?
• Are long prayers necessarily void of sincerity?
