You bought a lamp. When you brought it home, what did you do with it? You set it on a table, plugged it in, and now you read by it or some other thing. Mark wrote of Jesus, “Also He said to them, ‘Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand?'” (Mark 4:21).
Why did the Lord give the light of His word? Why did He make us lights? Shall we hide His word? Shall we hide the light that dwells within us?
