Some do not believe in God and leave it at that. Others do not believe in God and actively campaign against Him and His believers. If you want insight into the thinking of the latter group, read Psalm 10:5-11. The psalmist ended that section saying,
He has said in his heart,
“God has forgotten;
He hides His face;
He will never see.”
(Psalms 10:11)
To the psalmist, such thinking of the atheist was an affront to God. Therefore, the writer wanted God to do something about it. In Western culture, atheism no longer sits by passively, but has begun an active campaign against us and our God. Let us do as the poet did and speak to God about it.
