Jesus said that an employee who had been fired from his job, turned around and helped his former boss by getting the boss’s debtors to pay something to him, whereas they were not making any payments on what they owed.
Then Jesus said, “So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light” (Luke 16:8).
The sons of the light have the tendency to find reasons to break alliances, but the sons of this world do what they can to form alliances.
In that way, they act more shrewdly than we do. Let us learn to build rather than always tearing down.
