The Jews knew the Law, or at least parts of it, but the Roman centurion in charge of crucifying Jesus was not well-versed in it, yet, when Jesus died, Luke shows us the reaction of the centurion, “So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, ‘Certainly this was a righteous Man!'” (Luke 23:47).
Let us be like the centurion and simply accept what the evidence shows us to be the truth, even if it goes against what all our friends believe.
