If you want to boast, be prepared to hear someone outdo you. As Paul said,

“Seeing that many boast according to the flesh, I also will boast” (2 Corinthians 11:18).

He then showed how he could outdo any of his critics, if they wanted to boast according to the flesh.

As he moved into chapter 12, he demonstrated that there is a dangerous side to boasting.

Let us be careful then and humbly accept what we have in life and give all the glory to God.
