Where are your accusers?

After men brought an adulteress to Jesus to discover what He would say should be done with her, He exposed their hypocrisy, and they all left as a result, leaving just Jesus and the woman, then the narrative says,

“When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, ‘Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?’” (John 8:10).

When I read that, I immediately thought of Paul’s questions in Romans 8:

What then shall we say to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us?
Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect?
Who is he who condemns?
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

(Find out how Paul answered those questions in Romans 8:31-35.)
