From one extreme to another

When Jesus approached Peter to wash his feet, he objected, but when Jesus said that if He could not wash the feet of Peter, he would have no part in the Lord, John says this happened,

“Simon Peter said to Him, ‘Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!’” (John 13:9).

Peter did not believe he was worthy for the Lord Jesus to clean his feet, but when Jesus did a little explaining, Peter suddenly thought Jesus was not doing enough.

First, Jesus is doing too much, then He is not doing enough. That seems to be the way the world sees God. Are you happy with just the way God is doing things in your life?
