When you believe God persecutes you

While God was not persecuting Job, Job thought that God was, although He did allow Satan to attack Job. He expressed the anguish of his heart,

“But now He has worn me out; You have made desolate all my company. You have shriveled me up, and it is a witness against me; my leanness rises up against me and bears witness to my face. He tears me in His wrath, and hates me; He gnashes at me with His teeth; my adversary sharpens His gaze on me” (Job 16:7-9).

Job showed us graphically what he believed God was doing, and Job spoke to God about it several times in the Book of Job, and undoubtedly many times that the book does not record. However, that is the key, Job spoke to God of the huge burden of suffering that the poor man was experiencing.

What troubles you? Speak to God about it.
