Psalm 112 shows the blessed state of the one who fears the Lord, including this, 

“He has dispersed abroad, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be exalted with honor. The wicked will see it and be grieved; he will gnash his teeth and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall perish” (Psalm 112:9-10). 

The righteous give and the Lord blesses Him for it; the wicked see it and it distresses them. Therefore, be a giver in life like the one who fears the Lord rather than being a taker like those who rebel against the Lord, and be blessed for it.
