After speaking of the dangers of ungodliness and the love of money, Paul told his young friend Timothy,

“But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness” (1 Timothy 6:11).

Run away from that which shall tear down your soul; run after those things that will build up your soul.
