The Lord prepared His people for something awful,

“Make yourself bald and cut off your hair, because of your precious children; enlarge your baldness like an eagle, for they shall go from you into captivity” (Micah 1:16).

How would it affect you to see your children going into captivity? The Lord told His people to cut off their hair in deep despair and humility for what was headed their way, for by their sinful living they had brought it upon themselves.
