Jesus showed the worth of the kingdom of heaven with this brief parable,

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field” (Matthew 13:44).

That man knew that the treasure in the field was worth more than everything he had, which is why he sold everything, knowing that he would gain something far greater.

So it is with the kingdom of heaven. We could even own the entire world, but selling it to enter the kingdom of heaven would be worth it, for we would be gaining so much more.
