The destruction of Jerusalem in the first century

In Matthew 24:32-34 Jesus let us know that the things He foretold of the destruction of Jerusalem would happen to that generation then living,

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place” (Matthew 24:32–34).

Sure enough in the year 70, the Lord sent the Roman army against the city and destroyed it.

He has also promised to destroy the earth in the future when He returns to take His saints to live with Him in heaven.
Are you ready for that event?
