A multitude followed Jesus, and He wanted to feed them, but He did not want to send them away to get food, rather He wanted to feed them on the spot. The disciples did not know how that was possible.
He took the seven loaves that the disciples had and did something wonderful,
So they ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets of leftover fragments. Now those who had eaten were about four thousand. And He sent them away, immediately got into the boat with His disciples, and came to the region of Dalmanutha (Mark 8:8–10).
He fed four thousand people with only seven loaves of bread, which created leftovers of seven large baskets. Amazing! He still feeds us. Think of the amount of people who live on this Earth, and the amount of food needed to feed them all, and He does it. Yes, in a few places, they suffer badly with hunger, even as that happened sometimes in the Scriptures.
Jesus fed the four thousand miraculously, and He feeds the world through nature today.
