The disciples asked Jesus when Jerusalem would be destroyed, and part of His answer included this,
“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows” (Mark 13:8).
The Earth would begin to react to the coming destruction of Jerusalem, the former city of God, but because of its rejection of the Messiah, it would suffer a horrible fate, and the Earth could not keep itself quiet about such an event.
Then in the year 70, it happened, and the Lord sent the Roman armies against His formerly beloved city, and wiped it out, including the temple.
