Jesus forgave a man of his sins, but the scribes and Pharisees charged Him with blaspheming,

“Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” (Luke 5:21).

They were correct that only God can forgive sins, but they misapplied the truth when they denied that Jesus was God. Unfortunately they charged Jesus with blaspheming.

Speak the truth, but make sure that you apply it properly.
