You may not realize it, but for all those people who live, work, and conduct their daily affairs around you, you are light.
They notice what you do and say, and what you keep from doing and what you keep from saying. That does not mean that they will become Christians tomorrow, but they do notice you, and it is making a lasting impression on them, for Jesus said,
“No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light” (Luke 11:33).
Therefore, let your light shine. Do not be ashamed of who you are in Christ, but be humble in everyone’s presence, and they shall see the light of Christ in you.
