Jesus compared disciples, who do not forsake all that they have, to salt that has lost its flavor,

“It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Luke 14:35).

Those disciples of Christ who do not die to themselves are like flavorless salt that is not even fit to throw on the land or a dunghill. Can you get any lower than that?

Will you follow Jesus whatever the cost?
