Once we die, our eternal destinies have been determined.

Jesus told of a rich man who died and went to the place of torments and fire in Hades. The rich man pleaded for someone to dip his finger in water and to give some to the rich man, but he received this answer,

“And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us” (Luke 16:26).

Those in the paradise part of Hades cannot crossover to those in the torment part of Hades, and those in the torment part of Hades cannot crossover to those in the paradise part of Hades.

An impassable barrier exists between the two places, although communication takes place, and they can see one another, which only increases the agony of those in torment.

Now is the time to do something about your soul. Now is the time to believe in Jesus, to repent of your sin, and to be baptized into Christ that He might forgive you of your sins.
