Do you always understand what the Bible says, or what someone in the Bible spoke or wrote? There have been many things that I did not understand, but through spiritual growth, I learned the meaning of some things.

Once Jesus spoke to the Jews and referred to the One who sent Him, and that Jesus spoke the things that He heard from the One who sent Him, but then John added this comment,

They did not understand that He spoke to them of the Father (John 8:27).

Because Jesus did not come out and say the Father, they did not know that He referred to the Father, but when He did refer to the Father, it offended them.

Sometimes they did not understand, and other times when they did, they did not like what they heard.
