God has carefully constructed our lives, from the microscopic level to the cosmic level, He has been diligent to see that we have all we need to live. Likewise, He expects us to seek His ways totally, as God told David,

“Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, be careful to seek out all the commandments of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land, and leave it as an inheritance for your children after you forever (1 Chronicles 28:8).

If David wanted to posses the good land that God had given, and if David wanted to leave it as an inheritance for his children, he had to seek out carefully everything that God wanted done.

Our God has not changed, and He still expects the same diligence from Christians. He does not want us to think we can pick and choose what we want to obey.
