When Solomon finished and dedicated the house of God, it created great feelings in Israel,

And on the eighth day they held a sacred assembly, for they observed the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days. On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the good that the Lord had done for David, for Solomon, and for His people Israel (2 Chronicles 7:9–10).

They had great feelings of joy and gladness, because they recognized the hand of the Lord in the good things of David, Solomon, and all of Israel.

Likewise, let us focus on the good things the Lord does in our lives, and we shall spare ourselves bitterness, filling ourselves instead with joy and gladness.
