Once a person closes his mind to the truth, and determines to do evil, nothing can turn him. That was the case with Judas. Therefore, after Jesus identified Judas as the betrayer to two of the disciples by giving him a piece of bread, the Bible says,
Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly” (John 13:27).
Since Judas determined to betray Jesus, and nothing would change the mind of Judas, it was just as well that he do his evil so that it would be over sooner.
