The Jewish authorities had prohibited the apostles from preaching, but they did it anyway. Therefore, the authorities sent officers to bring the apostles back, although delicately,

The enemies of the church fear us, even as the enemies of the church feared the church in the first century. However, their fears are unfounded.

The church has no intention of committing violence, but of only doing things that will make a town healthier in every way.
