Seeking to be released from God

Poor Job suffered immensely, but he did not know why, although we get to peek behind the curtain and see the confrontation between God and Satan. Job believed that God attacked him, and he wanted to know several things,

“How long? Will You not look away from me, and let me alone till I swallow my saliva? Have I sinned? What have I done to You, O watcher of men? Why have You set me as Your target, so that I am a burden to myself? Why then do You not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? For now I will lie down in the dust, and You will seek me diligently, but I will no longer be” (Job 7:19–21).

How long would his suffering last? Would God step away for a moment so that Job could swallow? What did he do wrong? Why was he God’s target? Why did God not forgive Job’s sin, if that was the problem?

Have you had those questions when suffering? Keep reading Job that you might learn how to deal with life and suffering.
