Job loved and feared God. However, Job suffered immensely during a certain period in his life, so much so that he said things that might make us grimace, and infuriated his friends, but listen to him speak to God, remembering just what this man had experienced,
“Are not my days few? Cease! Leave me alone, that I may take a little comfort, before I go to the place from which I shall not return, to the land of darkness and the shadow of death, a land as dark as darkness itself, as the shadow of death, without any order, where even the light is like darkness” (Job 10:20–22).
Should Job have spoken that way to God? No, he should not have, but think of what this man suffered, and show compassion to people you know or meet who suffer horribly and who do not always say the right things.
