The brethren in Jerusalem solved the problem that the churches were having north of Israel and the Jerusalem Church wrote a letter, beginning like this,
“They wrote this, letter by them: The apostles, the elders, and the brethren, To the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings” (Acts 15:23).
They showed that the church in Jerusalem reached a united conclusion to the problem. However, they also sent their greetings. This letter did much to bring unity to the church throughout the region, because the members of the church could not solve their problem in one location and they had consulted with others.
This was a wise move. Has your church had problems? Why not consult with others and see what can happen.
