How do we know when the Lord does something or something happens naturally and we use it to our advantage? Truly the Lord is behind the scenes, operating things according to His will, but we cannot always know to what extent He works.

Therefore, when Paul and Silas were in prison, they were praying and singing to God at about midnight,

Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed (Acts 16:26).

While the text never says the Lord caused the earthquake, yet, it is interesting that Luke recorded the event, especially that it opened the prison doors and loosened everyone’s chains.
