Why do people believe in their hearts that God does not exist? We can find part of the answer in Psalm 14, just after David spoke of some people denying God’s existence, David then said,

The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
They have all turned aside,
They have together become corrupt;
There is none who does good,
No, not one. (Psalm 14:2–3)

While they deny that God exists, He watches them to see how they conduct their lives, if they truly want to know that He exists.

For the most part, He sees that few seek Him.
