Do not rush into confusion

Certain men of the city of Ephesus opposed the preaching and teaching of Paul, and instigated a riot,

So the whole city was filled with confusion, and rushed into the theater with one accord, having seized Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians, Paul’s travel companions (Acts 19:29).

Since the Ephesians had seized Paul’s friends, he wanted to go to the people who had seized the two men, but Paul’s other friends stopped him, knowing what the crowd might do to him,

And when Paul wanted to go in to the people, the disciples would not allow him (Acts 19:30).

We understand Paul’s desire, but we also understand the prohibition of his friends, because rushing into that confusion could have cost him his life, yet, there may have been another way to deliver the two Macedonians.
