The people on the ship had not eaten for two weeks, but when they did eat, they ate enough to satisfy their hunger, and then to keep the ship light during the storm, they threw the food overboard,

So when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship and threw out the wheat into the sea (Acts 27:38).

They trusted in Paul’s words that everyone would be safe. Trusting Paul’s words, which are truly God’s words, will do that to you.
