The Law revealed what violates the will of God, and our flesh seeks to arouse violation of God’s will,

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death (Romans 7:5).

Avoid the stirrings of the flesh so that you will not break God’s law, remembering that you belong to Jesus now, and not to yourself.
