The Lord reigns, and not only over Israel of the past, but He reigns over all the Earth, and here is how we know,

The Lord reigns;
Let the earth rejoice;
Let the multitude of isles be glad!
(Psalm 97:1)

The psalmist did not say, The Lord reigns, let Israel rejoice, but let the Earth rejoice, and let all islands, and continents be glad, because the Lord reigns over them also.
