We know our God shows mercy, but just how great is that mercy?

For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him
(Psalm 103:11)

How great is the distance between the Earth and the heavens? From what we have learned thus far, the distance appears to be immeasurable by man!

When God forgives us, what does that mean?

As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
(Psalm 103:12)

How great is the distance between East and West? They never meet, for you can go to any place on Earth, and if you ask someone which way is East, he will point in one direction, and if you then ask which way is West, he will point in the opposite direction!

How much does a father love his child?

As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
(Psalm 103:13)

Most fathers have pity on their children, and the Lord our Father also has pity on His children.

Why would this holy God have such compassion upon us?

For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.
(Psalm 103:14)

Praise God that He remembers our weakness and our frailty!
