Much of Psalm 109, if not all of it, prophesied of Judas, and the psalm sounds as though the Messiah spoke through David. Judas betrayed Jesus, conspiring with the enemies of Jesus. Verses 28 and 29 show part of what the Messiah would pray,
Let them curse, but You bless;
When they arise, let them be ashamed,
But let Your servant rejoice.
Let my accusers be clothed with shame,
And let them cover themselves with their own disgrace as with a mantle.
(Psalm 109:28–29)
The Father answered the prayer of the Lord Jesus just as He requested. While they cursed Him, He blessed the Lord, and they went down in shame so that even today we talk of them and their shame.
