Yes, it is the Lord’s word, the Scriptures, but we can so embrace the word that we make it our own, as the psalmist declared,

I remember Your name in the night, O Lord,
And I keep Your law.
This has become mine,
Because I kept Your precepts.
(Psalm 119:55–56)

The psalmist thought on the Lord so often that he remembered the Lord during the night, leading the psalmist to keep the Lord’s law, and it became the psalmist’s own law.
