The psalmist began Psalm 125 picturing the immoveable nature of those who trust in the Lord, and that the Lord surrounds His people. One of the things that He does as He surrounds them is this,

For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest
On the land allotted to the righteous,
Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.
(Psalm 125:3)
