Some people’s generosity is not real, but somehow they have persuaded everyone that they are generous. However, time will show what they are truly are, because they do not spend time looking for ways to be generous and then doing it, but the truly generous think on how to be generous and they carry out their plans. Isaiah prophesied,

The foolish person will no longer be called generous,
But a generous man devises generous things,
And by generosity he shall stand.
(Isaiah 32.5–8)
