Grace to you

At the beginning of Paul’s letters, after identifying himself, and addressing the church or person, he would then say something similar to this,

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 1.1).

Try saying, “Grace to you,” to a fellow-Christian. When I said it to a preacher once, he asked someone else, “Why is Don being so formal?” However, it is not a matter of being formal, but a matter of being spiritual, of desiring the best for your brethren, and of speaking as the Bible speaks.
