As Paul explained how the falling away and the revealing of the man of sin had to happen before the Lord would return, the apostle pictured the man of sin and how he would lead people astray, and the kind of people who would be led astray,
The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved (2 Thessalonians 2.9–10).
If you do not love the truth, then virtually anyone, and especially the man of sin, can lead you astray. Therefore, check your heart and be sure that you love the truth!
