Some people want a preacher they can push around. They want to demand things of him, but do not like it when he asks things of them. However, we should want to have the kind of preacher that the Lord wants us to have. The Holy Spirit revealed how a preacher should preach,

Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you (Titus 2.15).

Preachers should live powerful lives, which will backup powerful preaching, but some members of the church and community will not like that kind of preacher, and they will push back at him, accusing him of being confrontational.

However, let us pray for preachers of this manner, because they help to get us closer to God.
