As Paul spoke of the kindness of God, and that He showed us His kindness, not because of our works of righteousness, which were lacking, but His mercy moved Him to show kindness, and His kindness put us through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom Paul said,

…[God] poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior (Titus 3.6).

Let me see if I get this right. We were, “once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another” (Titus 3.3), and then God not only showed us kindness, but He poured out His Holy Spirit upon us abundantly?

Just how kind is our God?
