If you have been reading or meditating in the Scriptures for very long, you have started to hate sin, and you have despised yourself when you did sin. That does not mean that Satan will leave you alone because you are reading the Bible, no, he will come at you more, trying to get you to stop reading the Bible.

However, James showed us very simply how we can get the devil to flee from us,

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4.7).

Submit to God and resist the devil, because the devil will not be able to contend with you when you do!
