As the Lord showed Ezekiel what the new temple would be like, in verses 18–27, the Lord showed Ezekiel the altar and the sacrifices, and what was to be done. The altar and its sacrifices allowed the Jews to be acceptable to God,

“‘When these days are over it shall be, on the eighth day and thereafter, that the priests shall offer your burnt offerings and your peace offerings on the altar; and I will accept you,’ says the Lord God” (Ezekiel 43.27).

Now we have an altar in heaven whereby we are made acceptable in the Beloved Jesus Christ.
