Some scoff at the idea that even as the Lord destroyed the Earth with water, so He will destroy the Earth again, but with fire. Yet, it is true,

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up (2 Peter 3.10).

What power shall be unleashed on that day! Yet, Peter warned us that we do not know when that day shall be, although you hear people trying to predict it all the time, for it shall come as a thief in the night, that is, unannounced.

Be ready for that day by living by faith in Jesus Christ.
