The kind of thinking that changed the world

The quick and enormous growth of the church in the first few centuries amazes the watcher of history. How did the early church do it? How did they change whole nations? I believe part of the answer lies in their full acceptance of the teachings of Jesus Christ, but not merely as verbal acceptance, rather they lived what He taught, such as this teaching,

“And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two” (Matthew 5.41).

What would have to happen in your heart and in your way of thinking for you to start living that way? Do what it takes to have that spirit of which Jesus spoke, and see how it affects your life and how it affects the lives of the people around you.
